How to find the Philips screen code and how to change it. ( older models before 2016 )

Press 062598 MENU (or HOME) XXX where XXX is the 3-digit code found on the back of the television. After changing the code, the television should automatically go into standby mode; if not, repeat the procedure.

How to find and set the set option code. ( models newer than 2016 )

Models from 2016 (2K16) use the so-called set option code. With this, the model number and option codes are programmed immediately, with the exception of the serial number; you must always change this via the service menu if necessary. The set option works as follows: press on the remote  062598 menu XXX, where XXX is the 3-digit code found on the label. If this code contains only 2 digits, you must place a 0 (zero) in front of it.

After entering the correct code, wait a moment; the device must then reboot. After the device reboots, press key 123654 to check if the installation was successful; the correct model number should now appear on the first line.

DO NOT USE THE 715GXXXX-XXX-XXX-XXXX NUMBER TO SEARCH FOR A PART; IT IS NOT THE PART NUMBER OR ORDER NUMBER!

On many Philips TVs, you will not find a Philips order number on the circuit board, which makes it difficult to find the correct part.

To find the correct part, it is best to search by model number and always check the FZ number, which is the beginning of the serial number. If you cannot find what you need, please let us know and we will help you.

Mainboard..

For various Philips TVs, we need the model number and part of the serial number to determine which mainboard is used in the device. The serial number usually starts with FZ1, FZ2, ZH1, etc. New Philips / TPV TVs do not have the 9965xxxxxxxx number on the circuit board, so you cannot find them that way.

Older mainboards use the 3104328xxxxx numbers. Please note that 3104303xxxxx and 3104313xxxxx are not order numbers. Always check the numbers on the label and not the printed numbers on the mainboard.

Explanation of LG T-con numbers sometimes used in Philips tv's

If you need an LG T-con, look at the number in the white section; you will see a 4-digit number followed by 1 letter and another 1 digit. You only need the 4 digits and the letter. Place 6871L- before that number, and you will have the correct T-con you need. See photos.

Explanation of AUO T-con numbers sometimes used in Philips tv's.

If you need an AUO T-con, look at the number on the white label; there is a 12-digit code.  Any other number, for example T500HVN08.0, does not represent the correct order number. See photo.

Replacing an OLED T-con.

You cannot simply transfer a T-con from an OLED TV to another device with the same model number and display panel. The T-con contains an IC with the necessary data to prevent Mura Clouding; the software located in the old, defective T-con must be transferred. This can be done by transferring the IC, for which you need special equipment.
